Beforehand, the endorphins get the word and start to pour from certain secret small receptors – there is a flutter in the chest or maybe top of arms, a slight sense of alarm, a cold sweat upon the neck and smell of something (I forget each time, I’m sorry) and then down goes my body, accelerating constantly with weak gravity welcoming my shoddy frame to floor. Luckily I lose myself then for the moments when it happens – come back tired, worn, and wet – aware, with little need for asking – I go down, we all fall sometimes. There’s just too many things to realize and it all gets overwhelming when I try. All your secrets rattle in a purse kept at your side and for the quite unsteady life of me I can’t figure out why there are so many lingering gaps in my knowledge.
