Put a Ring On It

My lover is missing – remember our moments? I filled her up and then she filled up my notebooks. My lover is never wherever I want her, even though she knows I promised to haunt her wherever the wind takes her small squishy feet. I knew the code to decipher the beat of her years younger heart and she could jump-start my lazy bones and convince me to part from the room where I languish, those cold catacombs. My lover is missing, the shell of her home still stands where we left it and I still swear I meant it when I said I loved her in my honest tone.
