Southbound

This one’s about insignificance found in a stairway with all of my fingerprints and my motive all over my face and my shoulders. The getaway driver is idling, I told her to keep the car running and engine in drive. Then we will pass the cold freezing miles with a carton of smokes and our bounty in tow. We’ll cross the state line and then we can slow it down to the limit (or at least ten within it). Ginger and Fred. The thief and the princess.

That was about proving I could. Proving if I got the nerve then I would so I worked it up slowly until I was wholly convinced I could go in and take what was owed me.

Til then, she’s locked in the trunk.
